Sam is not a typical wedding photographer. He is a documentary photographer who photographs weddings from various cultures, taking a different approach on weddings. He creates space for a more honest view of weddings. His work is influenced by elements of photojournalism and street photography.

Multicultural weddings are an important part of Sam’s work. He strives to capture their unique traditions and relations with respect and empathy. As a storyteller, Sam seeks to build bridges between cultures and promote tolerance, understanding, and appreciation through his photographs.

Sam sees multicultural weddings as much more than unions between cultures; they are a celebration of cultural diversity. Using a photojournalistic approach, he focuses on tradition, identity and belonging, honouring each culture with empathy and respect.

Sam approaches wedding photography as a sincere, documentary exploration of human connection. Rejecting today’s superficial, business-driven styles, he captures weddings not as clichés or decorative events, but as meaningful moments rich with personal and social depth.

Before choosing a photographer, ask what really matters: the latest trend or something that lasts. Perfect images are easy. What’s harder is creating photographs with substance, with their own voice. When every image looks perfect, It becomes an illustration without weight.

Sam is a photographer for couples who don't really want a conventional wedding photographer.

Sam's approach is not suitable for every couple, especially those who want a typical theatrical presentation. He works with approaches that differ from the conventional style of wedding photography. This creates an observational form of storytelling with its own compositional character.

Sam works in a documentary manner, drawing inspiration from photojournalism and street photography. He doesn’t follow temporary trends or stage scenarios. He prioritises key elements of photography—composition! He avoids marketing methods that have little to do with professional photography.

Sam doesn't make much of a fuss over weddings. Not out of ignorance, but out of deep respect. He observes with restraint—capturing without frills, without drama. His photos aren’t about perfection, just about quiet observation. There is no need for staging or showmanship. Nothing more, nothing less.

Very important! He intentionally brings them more into prominence because they are a vital part of the day. This creates a more diverse and deeper narrative. However, this does not diminish the importance of the bride and groom — they remain indisputably central.

Although only black-and-white images are currently shown, Sam also shoots in color. He decides when colour best suits the image, depending on how “photogenic” it is for color photograph. On request, he will even refrain from using color entirely, but not the other way around.

In photography, experience means time spent, but not necessarily skill gained. Competence is more than a long résumé—it's about concrete ability and genuine understanding. Therefore, experience is not synonymous to competence. It is merely one component of the multifaceted qualifications required.

Sam does not work with a fixed price list. As a documentary photographer, he believes that photography should not be dependent on financial background, following his humanistic and photojournalistic principles. For this reason, the price is agreed individually based on the couple's wedding budget.

No. For Sam, the size of a wedding really doesn't matter. Whether it's a large celebration with many guests, a small ceremony with close family and friends, or just the two of you in a quiet place. This attitude is a fundamental part of his photojournalistic mindset: every story is worth telling.

No, Sam only accepts a limited number of assignments per year, as time is an essential factor in achieving adequate results. Therefore, he is unfortunately unable to accept every request throughout the year.

No, Sam only accepts assignments that are in line with a documentary approach and his working philosophy. He values mutual understanding about the nature of the collaboration, especially when it comes to the photographic concept.
